If it is proven and withstands fearless scrutiny, it is science.  If it is disproven, it is a myth. If it is disproven but still widely accepted it is a religion.

A theory of art

Interest is not in what you see. It’s in what you don’t see. It is sensed incompleteness completed reflexively by the spectator.
