Should we hold that Galileo only lost his integrity when he recanted or that his recanting resulted in a productivity which achieved a higher rank among competing values?

A theory of art

Interest is not in what you see. It’s in what you don’t see. It is sensed incompleteness completed reflexively by the spectator.
