There is a kind of righteousness that would be happier going to Hell to fight the Devil than to Heaven to be cuddled by God. Morality as a license for aggression does not seem to scare us and that's a horrifying discovery.

We more readily expound upon Good and Evil when we know nothing about them as consequences. Our personal bondage depends upon this preclusion.
