There are two opposing forces in the social view. Truth has nothing to do with either of them.

Mental alignment with reality is the default of having forfeited a social contest. The other forms of accuracy are merely coincidences, and we cannot call the expressions of such our "truths" without casting our pearls into the sty.

 * 



There are situations where our fatigue rests on error, and other times on truth, and where further conscious effort has no chance at all.
